De Pilar Restaurant

Here is a South of the Border restaurant I built to go along with some of the adobe dwellings.  It was built in the same way as the adobes with the exception of the Spanish tiled front awning which was made by cutting black using coffee stirrers (basically small brown straws) cut in half and snipped to size for the Spanish roof tile effect.  This was very time consuming and I don’t think I will do this very often as each tile is cut and laid individually.  Also on the back end I used some corrugated cardboard for the roof of the supply shed.  The best cardboard for this is the thinner stuff found in Priority Mail boxes and electronics.
