Pulp Friday: Pardners

This simple pulp story written by Houston Day comes from the 10 Mar 1934 Argosy.   It was also republished in Max Brand’s Western Magazine of January 1951.  A simple tale of two partners in a ranch who happen to gamble their mortgage money away yet again.  This time the banker is going to take the ranch from them if they can’t pay up.  But the greed of the local bar owner seems to saves the day.  This could be the basis for a small game–the player characters get swindled out of their money at a crooked gaming table…what are they going to do about it?
